These Classiky tiny dishes by Kata Kata are truly one of a kind. The Japanese traditional method, Inbante, like a transfer printing technique, patterns printed on washi paper transferred onto ceramic ware. Due to the nature of the printing, all the ceramic dish are hand-crafted, each dish has its own unique tones. You may also notice there may be some imperfections such as unevenness of colour/tones, blur, etc.
KATA KATA creates original textile products by using katazome and chosen print techniques. Their inspiration comes from everyday life. The design are usually animals, insects, plants scenery … etc. Their joy is adding their own stories to each piece they create. KATA KATA hope to provide people with fun and warm conversations over their work.
Mamezara, or “bean dish” is a type of small plate from Japan. In the past, these beautiful dishes were originally meant to hold food or condiments, now people start to find other ways into places other than the dining table.
Katazome (型染め) is a Japanese method of dyeing fabrics using a resist paste applied through a stencil. These tiny ceramic plates (mamezara) can be used for spices, cutlery rests or as jewelry dish etc.

Recipients are required to sign upon delivery. In case the first delivery attempt failed, the recipient need to arrange redelivery or claim the package at the post office based on the delivery note left at the doorstep. If the package is unclaimed for 1-3 weeks (varies for different countries), it will returned to us. We shall refund for item cost (exclude shipping fee) once we received the returned, unclaimed package, even though the order entitled for free shipping.
